Kicked Out Of World Showcase

Still on a Disney kick.

In 1986, Spain was going to have his own area in the World Showcase section of Epcot (Walt Disney World) and they even put a sign near the German area about it. But then nothing happened with it and in 1988, the Norway area opened. Disney and Spanish officials did meet in 2002 about it but still nothing. Now there are a bunch of new rumors about a new country for the 30th Anniversary of Epcot. Spain is the one brought up the most in this rumor. Disney denies this, of course.

Also, it ended up between Spain and France over who got EuroDisney. It's like Spain can't win.

Snow White does show up at the German pavilion from time to time. I can imagine Prussia hitting on her as she ignores him and focuses on the guests. When she leaves then Prussia will just nod. "She'll be back because she can't just get enough of this awesomeness!" Germany would just *facepalm* in the background.

I also read that before Epcot officially opened in 1982, Canada was annoyed by Disney's "1800s lumberjack" theme for his area. Disney just loves dressing people up in historical period themes. During D23 EXPO 2009, there was a segment on Disney Alaska cruises where Donald Duck was... dressed as a lumberjack. So yeah... Disney likes the lumberjacks.
